EP was awarded the contract to design, build, monitor and maintain the 1004kWp Mooirivier Mall PV plant.
Right through the process the interaction with their (fully in house) team was pleasant and professional. In terms of quality both their designed solution and their execution on the project, EP met and often exceeded our expectations. In terms of the design and tender we were impressed that they did not cut corners. The project was delivered on specification, on time and on budget with quite a few extras that would improve the durability and maintenance of the system.
Today after more than a year of operation the plant is operating above the design capacity they committed to. This is typical of our experience of EP’s conservative approach (they seem to under sell and over deliver – an approach we far prefer to suppliers). This sits particularly well with our sustainability team and the mall management. We are now in our second year of operation with EP responsible for monitoring, cleaning and maintenance and again our experience has been very positive.
In terms of evaluating any project and the supplier; the bottom line is if I would recommend EP and their work to anybody and if we would use them again for new projects. On both counts the answer is yes
